Hou Moon, Klang - One of our favourite restaurants!

Add: 34 & 36, Jalan Hip Hing, off Jalan Goh Hock Huat, Klang
Tel: +603 3343 0467
Opening hours: 9.30am - 3.30pm (Monday - Friday) ; 9.30am - 3.30pm & 6pm - 9pm (Saturday / Sunday). Closed on alternate Thursdays.

Founded in 1986, and having moved to the present location off Jalan Goh Hock Huat in Klang for the past 10 years, this place deserves the monicker of Institution. BRILLIANT!

We were given some hong tau sar as starters, hmmm isn't this normally for afters :-) Regardless, it was good! And we brought along a Jusco-sourced and great value Barton and Guestier Chardonnay Reserve 2007.

We like the simple tofu dish here :-) And, as always, no meal here would be complete without the excellent fried long beans and brinjal.

This (along with the roast duck) is what made Hou Moon so famous ... the Bentong-ginger infused steamed fish :-) Perfectly steamed.

Surprise! The assam fish was superb too ...
As many would know, I am not a big fan of fish, and to have ordered TWO varieties, speaks very highly of the quality of fish here. Delicious!

Ah... the old favourite, Hou Moon's excellent Roast Duck.

And finally, for afters... three slices (That's 3/4 of a whole fruit) of their remarkable Pineapple. Pukka!
