Pizza Uno Italian - Centrepoint, Bandar Utama

Another italian!? Its called .. Uno? That seems to be ONE (heh heh, pun intended!) popular name. Simple, cosy atmosphere awaited me, at my first visit to this eatery in BU's Centrepoint. We were joined by Y, A and B (good luck with the op, mate!).

History from foodpoi.com:
Pizza Uno started as Pizza Italia in USJ in 1997. After 18 months, the 2nd outlet was opened in Kuala Lumpur. Now, there are total 3 outlets in Klang Valley ( USJ Taipan, Centrepoint Bandar Utama, Bandar Puteri Puchong).

Excellent start .... delicious and plump prawns.

Baba Ghanoush ... Delicious as well. Eggplant and Humus dips alongside freshly grilled bread.
Wikipedia - Baba ghanoush is a popular Levantine dish of eggplant (aubergine) mashed and mixed with various seasonings. Frequently the eggplant is baked or broiled over an open flame before peeling, so that the pulp is soft and has a smoky taste. It is frequently eaten as a dip with pita bread, and is sometimes added to other dishes. It is usually of an earthy light brown color.

Homemade fettucine costs RM$2 additional, and I found the Carbonara I ordered to be decent, but hardly spectacular.

Baked pasta proved to be tastier!

When in doubt, add some of this Tabasco-esque HOT sauce!

The pizzas were dissapointing, can't remember the name of the first one we ordered, but the Margherita which took ages to arrive was equally ... bland!

Desserts ... well, average! Choc mud-cake ... and Tiramisu.
