Reunion, BV2 Bangsar - Chinese New Year Tim Sum

Bangsar Village 2 seems to be doing well, despite the downturn. Its one of my fave places to frequent for shopping, but mainly for dining and chilling. It also helps that the Social is located just opposite the road, and there is a Transview Golf on the 2nd floor :-)

Wanted to go to Ming Room at BSC for timsum one morning, but that only opens at about noon-time. Instead, I decided on Reunion, which opens for tim-sum on weekends at 10:30am.

Special Chinese New Year menu!

Pei Tan Sau Yuk Chuk, Century egg and pork porridge (RM$6.80) - Fabulous! We could hardly feel the texture of the rice grains. As L described, "Like puree!"

Har Cheong Fun, prawn rice roll (RM$8.80) - Rather magnificent! Delicate skin, near translucent, and fresh prawns.

Char Siew Pao - Exquisite, beautiful bun and the filling was close-enough perfect! RM$6.80
This along with the excellent Chee Cheong Fun is a clear indicator of the quality of Reunion's timsum.

Siu Mai, RM$7.80

Lor Mai Kai, Glutinous rice - The chicken was perfectly marinated, the rice was good, overall ... another winner! RM$6.80

Char Loh Pak Koh, fried turnip cake (RM$8.80) - Excellent. Lovely turnip pieces, the timsum here at Reunion is really "fine".

Tarn Tart aka Egg Tarts, RM$6.80 - Enjoyed this very much!
We had a great meal, and a super chilled out pre-balik kampung CNY morning.
In view of the great food, and nice place, RM$69 for two seems like a bargain. Forget hotel tim-sums, come to Reunion @ BV2 (or Ming Room, BSC)!
